Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the strategic development and execution of innovative employee benefits programs aligned with organizational objectives and workforce needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and reporting standards in benefits administration.
  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts, assess service quality, and optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership in health & welfare, retirement, and leave policies to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align benefits strategies with organizational goals and workforce priorities.
  • Mentor and manage team members, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Drive innovation in benefits offerings to support employee well-being and organizational competitiveness.
  • Work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and administer health & welfare, retirement, and time-off benefit programs to meet organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in benefits administration and reporting.
  • Evaluate and manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and cost efficiency.
  • Lead annual benefit renewals, negotiating vendor contracts and optimizing plan designs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design competitive and innovative benefits plans.
  • Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on benefits-related inquiries and issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction through benefits.
  • Monitor and improve the operational efficiency of benefits administration processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in benefits administration; 10 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in vendor negotiations, 401K management, and health & welfare plans.
  • Experience managing leave of absence policies and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Strong collaboration skills and adaptability in dynamic work environments.
  • Proficiency in Workday and other HR systems is highly desirable.
  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on expertise in benefits program management.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work arrangement, balancing remote and in-office tasks.
