Job Description

Overview

  • Lead daily operations of the MRI radiology service line, ensuring efficiency and quality patient care.
  • Mentor and educate staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high clinical standards.
  • Oversee technical and digital imaging processes, ensuring compliance with safety and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and streamline workflows.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures specific to imaging safety and operational excellence.
  • Monitor productivity metrics and implement strategies to meet departmental goals.
  • Ensure accurate patient charge documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in MRI technology and integrate new techniques into practice.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and schedule MRI technologists, ensuring adequate staffing and operational coverage.
  • Conduct interviews, orientations, and performance evaluations for modality staff.
  • Organize workflow and patient schedules to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain accreditation records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
  • Assist in clinical competency assessments and provide training for staff.
  • Monitor and audit clinical excellence, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with managers and directors to address physician requests and operational concerns.
  • Develop cost reduction strategies and implement process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Current ARRT or ARMIT certification mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI technology; 3 years preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills in MRI imaging and patient care.
  • Proficiency in managing accreditation processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring abilities to support team development.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and implement innovative practices.
