Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct all aspects of the Medical Surgical Unit, including Telemetry operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Mentor and manage staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
- Prepare and maintain accreditation standards and accountability measures.
- Manage the unit's budget, productivity, and resource allocation effectively.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
- Facilitate relationships with providers to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead initiatives focused on quality improvement and patient safety.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; advanced degrees such as MSN or MBA preferred.
- Current New Mexico RN license or eligibility required.
- Seven years of healthcare experience, including three years in leadership roles.
- Experience in a for-profit hospital setting strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build teams and focus on quality initiatives.
- Strong human relations and interpersonal skills essential.
- Certifications in BLS and ACLS required.
- Experience in program development, budgeting, and productivity management.
