Job Description

Overview

  • Join a dynamic hedge fund operations team, contributing to efficient trade lifecycle management and operational excellence in a collaborative environment.
  • Support diverse investment strategies, including Credit, Private Equity, and Merger Arbitrage, ensuring seamless operational processes.
  • Manage complex lifecycle events for various asset classes, ensuring accurate economic reflection and compliance.
  • Coordinate trade settlement, reconciliation, and proxy voting processes, adhering to governance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in pricing non-listed investments and establishing marks in line with pricing policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to optimize operational workflows.
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting obligations, including audits and transparency reporting.
  • Provide mentorship and training to offshore team members, fostering skill development and team growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Interact with the investing team and trading desk to support diverse investment strategies.
  • Manage lifecycle events for hedge funds and closed-end funds, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Oversee trade lifecycle processes, including booking, allocation, confirmation, and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate proxy voting and validate materials in line with governance policies.
  • Assist in pricing and establishing marks for non-listed investments.
  • Support internal and external reporting processes, including audits and asset leveling.
  • Liaise with external counsel on timely closing of secondary market transactions.
  • Communicate with service providers to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices for scalable and efficient operational processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree with a minimum of 6-9 years of operations experience.
  • Buy-side experience at a hedge fund in a middle office role preferred.
  • Expertise in syndicated and non-syndicated loans, bank debt, and private equity.
  • Proficiency in Advent Geneva, Bloomberg, Enfusion, and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and flexibility.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively within a small, team-oriented environment.
  • Ambitious work ethic and professional disposition, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Experience with lifecycle management, trade reconciliation, and operational problem-solving.
