Overview
- Lead financial operations for a management company, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and delivering precise financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and support strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to optimize operational efficiency.
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial models to inform decision-making.
- Coordinate audits and manage auditor requests, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting workflows and systems.
- Support intercompany transactions, expense allocations, and fee reconciliations with accuracy.
- Contribute to the preparation of consolidated financial statements and internal reporting packages.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, trial balances, and supporting schedules for affiliated entities.
- Assist FP&A team with financial analysis across business units and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and reporting packages for leadership.
- Support the development and optimization of accounting tools, templates, and systems.
- Coordinate audit timelines, prepare schedules, and manage auditor requests effectively.
- Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams on accounting matters.
- Perform liquidity analysis, cash flow forecasting, and financial modeling for planning purposes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, preferably within management company accounting.
- Proficiency in GAAP-based financial reporting and advanced financial analysis techniques.
- Strong knowledge of intercompany transactions, expense allocations, and fee reconciliations.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic initiatives.
- Ability to manage audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with a focus on process optimization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
