Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
  • Lead a care team, including medical assistants and care coordinators, in delivering patient-centered services.
  • Engage with hospitalists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient interactions and treatment plans efficiently using advanced systems.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and quality management programs to enhance care delivery.
  • Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs) in patient care.
  • Promote evidence-based medicine and lifestyle interventions for improved patient outcomes.
  • Support the center's operational goals and assist in covering for other providers as needed.
  • Engage in recruiting efforts for patients and healthcare professionals to expand services.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
  • Active State Medical License or eligibility to obtain one within the required timeframe.
  • Current DEA number for schedule II-V controlled substances.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, with 5 years preferred, in primary care or similar settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare documentation systems.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and mission-driven healthcare delivery.
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally for training and recruitment purposes.
  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills preferred for specific centers.
