Overview

  • Lead strategic business development efforts for insurance solutions within the Midwest region, focusing on market expansion and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and management teams to design and implement effective sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Identify emerging market trends and opportunities to enhance competitive positioning and achieve ambitious sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and industry partners to foster trust and successful collaborations.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales performance metrics and strategic reports to senior management.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the insurance sector.
  • Promote a customer-centric approach and uphold ethical standards in all business operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop new business leads and maintain a robust pipeline to achieve sales targets effectively.
  • Implement strategic sales and distribution plans tailored to regional needs and market dynamics.
  • Coordinate with underwriting teams to craft and communicate compelling client proposals.
  • Negotiate terms and close high-value contracts, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Claims and Marketing, to align business objectives.
  • Prepare and present strategic sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management review.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine sales processes, tools, and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience in the insurance industry; 5 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and claims processes.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to foster client relationships.
  • Proficiency in sales software and Microsoft Office Suite for efficient operations.
  • Existing network and contacts within the insurance industry are highly desirable.
