Job Description

Overview

  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for diverse commercial construction projects, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables effectively throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during all phases of project execution, from planning to close-out activities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices in MEP coordination.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and project success.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and project outcomes.
  • Monitor project progress, address challenges, and implement solutions to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines.
  • Support procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage and coordinate MEP components from project inception to completion, ensuring seamless integration with overall construction plans.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure accurate implementation and functionality of MEP systems.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide solutions to maintain project timelines and objectives.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports to stakeholders and management, highlighting progress and challenges.
  • Ensure procurement of necessary materials and equipment aligns with project needs and schedules.
  • Implement innovative practices and technologies to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of MEP coordination experience; 5 years preferred for advanced proficiency.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale commercial construction projects with a focus on MEP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their integration.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills for effective team and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools to streamline workflows.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Willingness to work on-site and adapt to dynamic project environments.
