Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the evolution of design philosophy and practices within a dynamic interior architecture firm.
  • Champion the development of innovative design strategies and tools to enhance project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with directors to foster an integrated studio culture across multiple offices.
  • Serve as a creative advisor and subject matter expert on high-profile design projects.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by supporting proposals and client interviews.
  • Promote professional development through training, industry events, and mentorship programs.
  • Ensure design standards and tools are effectively utilized and updated as needed.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to support organizational growth and success.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Collaborate with design principals to elevate design practices and champion a culture of innovation.
  • Lead the design studio across offices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Provide expertise and guidance on design standards, tools, and processes to project teams.
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities for design staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Research and share market trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Actively participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Promote the organization’s design voice through marketing initiatives and award submissions.
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster professional growth and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in interior architecture, with expertise in commercial interiors.
  • Licensed Architect or Interior Designer with LEED CI and WELL Building accreditation.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Adobe Suite, and MS Office tools.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to inspire and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities for client engagement and presentations.
  • Commitment to research-driven design and active participation in the design community.
  • Ability to travel as required to support organizational objectives across offices.
