Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Install, upgrade, and maintain Linux systems across diverse physical and virtual environments.
• Support containerization platforms and shared infrastructure components for optimal performance.
• Design and implement automation solutions with robust guardrails and observability features.
• Collaborate with teams to align infrastructure strategies with research and operational needs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues across multiple layers of infrastructure.
• Maintain and evolve monitoring systems to enhance incident response capabilities.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance windows, demonstrating flexibility in work hours.
• Implement disciplined infrastructure change management practices to ensure operational stability.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience managing Linux/UNIX systems in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting; knowledge of other programming languages is advantageous.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Knowledge of monitoring systems such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with containerization platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
• Cloud and network operations experience is preferred.
