Job Description

Overview

  • Support the merchandising team in executing strategies and ensuring operational excellence within the division.
  • Manage vendor relationships, item setup, and cost input to optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to maintain accurate stocking matrices for new stores.
  • Analyze gross profit trends and implement corrective actions to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain data integrity within systems.
  • Provide support to store teams for merchandising and operational needs.
  • Conduct audits on product quality, sales performance, and profit margins.
  • Travel up to 30% to support vendor and store operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Negotiate and purchase goods ensuring optimal value and quality.
  • Determine order quantities while managing lead times and vendor terms.
  • Create and confirm purchase orders and invoices using SAP systems.
  • Update pricing and item data to protect cost and gross margins.
  • Coordinate distribution and resolve operational issues with vendors.
  • Support project coordination and meet established deadlines.
  • Maintain product data integrity within internal systems.
  • Create and review weekly sales reports and ad hoc data requests.

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, grocery, or food sourcing roles.
  • Proficiency in SAP systems for purchase orders and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills for data reporting and trend analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage vendor and internal team relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as required for vendor and store operations.
