Hybrid Cloud Engineer

Overview

• Contribute to the design and implementation of hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions for a dynamic IT environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, scalability, and security of systems.
• Play a pivotal role in modernizing infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Support compliance with industry standards, including ISO 27001 requirements.
• Engage with emerging technologies to enhance the organization’s IT capabilities.
• Maintain accurate system documentation and contribute to disaster recovery planning.
• Work in a hybrid environment, leveraging remote and on-site collaboration opportunities.
• Partner with vendors to support and evolve infrastructure solutions effectively.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of IT systems across global offices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and implement hybrid cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, and global data center environments.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements for scalability, performance, and security.
• Develop and enhance policies to ensure high availability across all offices.
• Lead integration of cloud services into existing and future infrastructure architectures.
• Maintain compliance with IT policies, including change management and business continuity.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and applications teams to define and execute a global technology roadmap.
• Coordinate across teams to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and engage with vendors to support infrastructure evolution.
• Oversee implementation of new infrastructure services and enhancements to existing environments.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience implementing enterprise IT infrastructure solutions.
• Expertise in hybrid cloud environments, including systems, networking, and security.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Hybrid Cloud and associated tools.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, automation, and scripting technologies.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware and enterprise Linux systems.
• Experience with data protection and storage solutions.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and complex technical challenges.
