Job Description

Overview

  • Lead emergency services operations, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple sites and functional areas.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration to achieve strategic objectives and enhance service delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams and physicians to expand services and drive growth initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards while advancing patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Provide leadership to enhance patient experience and achieve optimal clinical and operational results.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resources to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Represent the organization positively within the community and participate in company-supported events.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Cultivate a superior clinical identity by implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Develop and execute patient throughput strategies, including capacity planning and admission/discharge coordination.
  • Ensure consistent, positive patient interactions to differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve employee performance and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion and technological advancements to drive differentiation and growth.
  • Monitor department budget performance and implement actions to address variances and achieve savings.
  • Ensure effective labor management, including scheduling excellence and productivity optimization.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care director experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven leadership in emergency services and familiarity with FSED operations.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient safety, and quality standards.
  • Experience in budget management, labor optimization, and cost reduction strategies.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to enhance patient experience and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and engagement.
