Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a Senior Analyst, overseeing investment research and portfolio analysis within a dynamic alternative investment advisory firm.
  • Collaborate closely with the partner group to manage and enhance research processes and team development.
  • Perform fundamental analytical work and design scalable workflows across investment activities.
  • Take ownership of maintaining and improving repeatable processes across the investment workflow.
  • Support portfolio construction efforts, including revenue share modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Contribute to firm-wide strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate existing managers, including performance tracking and operational updates.
  • Work on-site in a collaborative environment to ensure high-quality execution of investment processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer and improve research processes to ensure quality execution and best practices.
  • Conduct investment and operational due diligence on prospective managers.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with external managers, writing research notes and memos.
  • Perform quantitative analysis using Excel and support portfolio construction efforts.
  • Monitor existing managers and conduct market research to inform macro views.
  • Review portfolio-level reports for internal and external distribution.
  • Manage, develop, and hold accountable junior analysts on the team.
  • Contribute to firm-wide strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required, preferably in finance or related fields.
  • 5-10 years of relevant industry experience in investment research or portfolio analysis.
  • Demonstrated project and process management experience.
  • Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High integrity, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for investment research.
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Knowledge of fundamental research qualitative and quantitative best practices.
