Job Description

Overview

  • Perform routine radiographic procedures ensuring high-quality imaging across main and satellite locations.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic procedures and maintain clean, adequately stocked rooms.
  • Assess patient condition, ensuring proper positioning and safe transfer techniques.
  • Adhere to ALARA principles and infection control policies to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Accurately complete requisitions and verify patient identity using two identifiers.
  • Maintain thorough records and complete assigned quality assurance tasks efficiently.
  • Operate diagnostic radiographic equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Supervise and support clinical instruction of student radiographers.
  • Maintain professional competency through continuing education and compliance with licensure requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform routine and specialized radiographic procedures ensuring high-quality imaging results.
  • Assist in fluoroscopic procedures and maintain clean, adequately stocked rooms.

Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an American Medical Association-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Staff Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting (preferred).
  • Current New York State licensure in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer and data entry tasks.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional competency through continuing education.
  • Ability to supervise and instruct student radiographers effectively.
