Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations and reporting for a dynamic media organization, ensuring compliance, transparency, and strategic alignment.
  • Drive transformation of accounting processes, systems, and team capabilities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide enterprise-wide stewardship of global accounting, financial reporting, and governance functions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape accounting strategies aligned with organizational goals and growth.
  • Maintain accountability for internal and external financial reporting accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead ERP evaluation and migration initiatives to modernize accounting systems and processes.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing global accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusion.
  • Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and standards, including revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee global accounting operations, including general ledger, close, consolidation, and statutory reporting.
  • Redesign and modernize accounting processes to support organizational scalability and effectiveness.
  • Develop and enforce global accounting policies to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Lead ERP system evaluation, selection, and migration, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment and oversee financial reporting controls.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to provide meaningful operational insights through financial reporting.
  • Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and coordinate audit activities.
  • Mentor and develop accounting team members, fostering professional growth and accountability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Proven experience leading ERP system evaluations and migrations.
  • Deep technical accounting expertise and ability to apply standards in complex environments.
  • Strong judgment and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Experience in media or advertising industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
