Overview
- Serve as a Contracts Specialist on a temporary basis, focusing on research contracts and agreements within a clinical research environment.
- Draft, negotiate, and review various contract types, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
- Provide expertise in contract lifecycle management systems, promoting best practices and supporting business requestors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align contracting practices with strategic and operational goals.
- Offer training and guidance on contractual risk mitigation and compliance with organizational policies.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards, departmental compliance, and quality assurance guidelines.
- Work remotely, providing flexibility and autonomy in managing contract-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Negotiate, draft, and review research contracts, subcontractor documents, and agreements ensuring alignment with business practices and regulations.
- Disseminate information related to contracts under development and manage ongoing contracts effectively.
- Support and train business requestors on contract lifecycle management systems and promote best practices.
- Establish relationships with cross-functional teams to understand goals and translate them into contracting practices.
- Guide departments in mitigating contractual risks and complying with organizational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with contracting team members to resolve contractual issues and ensure customer needs are met.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, ethics, and compliance guidelines in all contracted activities.
- Utilize contract lifecycle management software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in contract development and negotiation within the clinical research industry.
- Proficiency in contract lifecycle management software, preferably Agiloft.
- Strong skills in legal research, analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of the clinical development process and related contractual requirements.
