Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage GI Endoscopy nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to professional standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with age-specific care requirements and patient-centered practices.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare teams to resolve issues effectively.
  • Maintain technical competence and professional clinical judgment in all aspects of nursing care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise GI Endoscopy nursing staff, ensuring adherence to standards of care and organizational policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental functions, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Manage human resources, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and productivity targets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in GI Endoscopy services.
  • Provide direct patient care and education as needed, maintaining high clinical standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum five years of cumulative GI nursing experience; supervisory experience required.
  • Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS; CGRN preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, quality improvement processes, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and delegate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
