Job Description

Overview

  • Lead a team of physicians in a senior clinical leadership role within a healthcare organization.
  • Provide direct patient care while overseeing clinical operations and ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to drive center performance and membership growth.
  • Enhance clinical quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction through effective leadership and mentoring.
  • Engage in recruiting and training initiatives for clinical staff and providers.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to monitor and improve clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards within the assigned center.
  • Travel locally and nationally for training and recruitment purposes as required.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor primary care providers to achieve clinical excellence and engagement.
  • Collaborate with hospitalists and transitional care teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Conduct weekly leadership meetings to monitor center performance and address challenges.
  • Recruit and interview providers to support center growth and operational needs.
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and patient membership.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care and clinical activities.
  • Participate in training programs and maintain certifications relevant to the role.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) with active licensure in the state of employment.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, preferably with leadership responsibilities.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other healthcare-related applications.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with fluency in English.
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally for training and recruitment purposes.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching clinical staff to achieve organizational goals.
