- Support attorneys during trials, including travel arrangements and on-site assistance.
- Coordinate docketing and scheduling to ensure timely filings and case progress.
- Conduct administrative tasks to support case management and attorney needs.
- Collaborate with attorneys to manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive legal information.
- Participate in skill assessments to validate technical proficiency and effectiveness.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Legal Secretary; 10 years preferred.
- Expertise in complex commercial litigation and trial preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal docketing systems.
- Experience with filing processes in NY state and federal jurisdictions.
- Ability to manage multiple attorneys' workloads and prioritize tasks.
