Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform focused preoperative nursing assessments to plan surgical care.
  • Assist surgeons intraoperatively, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency.
  • Administer medications and manage perioperative care plans effectively.
  • Evaluate patient progress and adapt care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Contribute to the surgical team’s efficiency and the department’s overall functionality.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with active RN licensure.
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Certified First Assistant and CNOR certification highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in assisting with general, orthopedic, robotic, gynecological, and vascular surgeries.
  • Strong analytical skills for preoperative assessments and care planning.
