Senior End User Computing Engineer

Overview

• Lead the design, implementation, and support of endpoint computing systems leveraging Microsoft Cloud technologies.
• Manage endpoint devices including Windows PCs, laptops, smartphones, tablets, and printers.
• Develop and execute application deployment strategies using Intune and related tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless endpoint integration and compliance.
• Optimize user experience and reduce operational overhead through innovative solutions.
• Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and support teams.
• Ensure endpoint systems align with security and audit requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for endpoint management processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee application deployment lifecycle including packaging, testing, rollout, and monitoring.
• Implement deployment strategies using pilot rings, phased rollouts, and requirement rules.
• Troubleshoot application deployment issues using Intune Management Extension logs and related tools.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and reusable tools using PowerShell.
• Support Windows Autopilot design and configuration for optimized device management.
• Create dashboards and metrics to monitor deployment success and identify improvement areas.
• Collaborate with Security and Risk teams to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
• Mentor junior engineers and enhance the effectiveness of support teams.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in endpoint engineering or desktop engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Intune for application packaging and deployment.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Win32 app deployment and related detection logic.
• Solid understanding of Windows internals relevant to deployment processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Security, Infrastructure, and Support teams.
• Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop and Microsoft Defender is a plus.
