Job Description

Overview

  • Lead perioperative services, including OR, PACU, and sterile processing, ensuring high-quality care for patients across all age groups.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and educational programs to enhance staff performance and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align departmental goals with organizational mission and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation regulations for perioperative services.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality of care through chart reviews and performance assessments.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, and operational strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Maintain effective communication systems to ensure seamless operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in infection control surveillance and implement corrective measures as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan, organize, and evaluate perioperative services to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
  • Develop and oversee staff orientation, training, and evaluation programs to enhance competencies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active Wisconsin RN license required.

  • Advanced certifications in ACLS and BLS required within specified timelines.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and analytical tools essential.
  • Strong clinical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required.
