Overview
- Deliver exceptional applicant services, ensuring efficient processing of applications and inquiries while maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
- Support benefit fund administration processes, including document validation, calculations, and application reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues effectively and efficiently.
- Assist in preparing Social Security authorizations and transcripts to support application processing.
- Provide backup support for the contact center to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the applicant services department.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and operational success.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review and validate documents required for application processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Process applications, status requests, and verification inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Calculate benefits and prepare system letters for approval or rejection.
- Research work history and Social Security transcripts to support application evaluations.
- Recalculate benefits due to additional service credits or retroactive payments.
- Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with participants, vendors, and departments to resolve problems effectively.
- Maintain communication with supervisors and adhere to performance standards and organizational policies.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in benefit fund administration; Taft-Hartley Trust Fund experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction and problem resolution.
- Proficiency in managing complex issues with a cooperative and positive demeanor.
- Familiarity with Social Security Administration processes and document preparation.
- Commitment to maintaining professional image and organizational standards.
