Physical Therapist

Overview

• Provide physical therapy services to children, ensuring effective treatment plans and interventions.

• Work on-site following the school calendar, Monday through Friday.

• Document services accurately for organizational and third-party requirements.
• Participate in professional development activities to maintain licensure.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and students as needed.
• Ensure treatment areas and equipment are maintained properly.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and implement physical therapy intervention plans tailored to individual needs.
• Conduct screenings and evaluations to gather data for treatment planning.
• Perform advanced assessments as required by specific cases.
• Collaborate with other professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all services provided.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and students.
• Participate in professional development and training activities.
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and New York State licensure.
• Experience or training in pediatric physical therapy preferred.
• Ability to conduct evaluations and develop effective intervention plans.
• Strong documentation skills for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Knowledge of ethical standards and physical therapy code of practice.
• Capability to supervise assistants and students effectively.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and licensure requirements.
• Proficiency in maintaining treatment areas and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
