Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to financial analysis and reporting as a Junior Analyst on a contract basis.
  • Support cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting and variance analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Engage in month-end reconciliation and invoice review to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze margins and cost trends effectively.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions and ERP systems for data modeling and reporting tasks.
  • Enhance your analytical skills while working remotely in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly COGS reports, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor material, labor, freight, and overhead costs to identify key trends and drivers.
  • Analyze product-level and customer-level margins to support pricing and cost management decisions.
  • Review and approve invoices, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  • Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Participate in month-end responsibilities, including reconciliation of vendor expenses.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret finance data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Utilize ERP systems and BI tools to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Cost Accounting, or Finance Operations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, X-Lookups, and formulas.
  • Experience with ERP systems and BI tools is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to interpret finance data and communicate insights to non-finance stakeholders.
