Overview

• The Mechanical Assembly Technician will assemble mechanical components and subassemblies using technical drawings and specifications.
• Interpret CAD models and documentation to ensure precise alignment and functionality of assembled components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency through feedback.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies per technical drawings and specifications.
• Interpret CAD models to ensure precise fit and functionality of assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshoot systems to ensure performance standards.
• Fabricate, adjust, or modify parts using shop tools and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting CAD models and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams and other departments.
• Experience with shop tools and equipment for part fabrication and adjustment.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards in manufacturing processes.
• Effective communication skills for documenting processes and collaborating across teams.
