Job Description

Overview

  • Develop and program CNC machines to produce high-precision components based on engineering specifications and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure product accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Utilize G-code and CAM software for programming CNC machines for both prototype and production tasks.
  • Apply GD&T principles and inspect components using precision instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace adhering to industry safety standards and protocols.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail and independent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines for precision manufacturing.
  • Program CNC equipment using G-code, CAM software, and manual programming techniques.
  • Interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles to meet exact specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting to minimize machine downtime.
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments and document quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and optimize cycle times.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace following all safety protocols and lean practices.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or equivalent education in CNC machining or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
  • Proficiency in G-code and CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and precision measurement techniques.
  • Experience with manual machining equipment and standard shop tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and lean manufacturing practices.
