Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance testing for radiation therapy equipment to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to develop and review patient-specific treatment plans.
  • Supervise specialized procedures such as stereotactic radiosurgery and brachytherapy sessions.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and dosimetry calculations for precise treatment delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain service continuity.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance expertise in medical physics.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or related field is required.
  • American Board of Radiology certification or board eligibility within two years is preferred.
  • Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency program prior to start date is mandatory.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in medical physics; five years preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex clinical scenarios effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
