Job Description

Overview

  • Manage accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations in a hybrid work environment.
  • Support monthly financial close processes, including sales, marketing, and inventory accounting.
  • Prepare and manage financial entries, roll forwards, and supply chain inquiries.
  • Update and maintain prepaid roll forwards and fixed asset depreciation schedules.
  • Collaborate with IT to create assets and forecast depreciation using SAP.
  • Provide financial support for R&D systems projects and budget forecasting.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency within the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare monthly sales and marketing entries, including accruals and reclassifications.
  • Support inventory cost accounting tasks, including weighted average cost calculations.
  • Update prepaid roll forwards and prepare associated entries and reclassifications.
  • Run depreciation schedules and update fixed asset roll forwards.
  • Collaborate with IT to create assets and provide SAP depreciation forecasts.
  • Assist with R&D systems projects and related financial tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial close processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting; 8 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP for asset management and depreciation forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory cost accounting and financial close processes.
  • Experience with prepaid roll forwards and fixed asset management.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Managerial experience in accounting operations preferred.
