Job Description

Overview

  • Lead enterprise-wide procurement and inventory management to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for procurement standardization and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with administrators and managers to optimize supply chain methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational objectives in procurement practices.
  • Provide leadership in navigating and utilizing purchasing systems and related programs.
  • Drive distribution system standardization across multi-facility environments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and inventory management processes.
  • Oversee capital procurement projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage centralized material management systems, including purchasing, inventory management, and costing functions.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective distribution methodologies for supplies and equipment.
  • Identify and address process deficiencies, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Collaborate with facility administrators to support enterprise-wide supply needs.
  • Provide training and support for purchasing systems and related programs.
  • Ensure procurement practices align with organizational objectives and industry standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure procurement efficiency.
  • Perform duties assigned by corporate officers to support organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in a relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in purchasing and sourcing, preferably in healthcare.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in procurement or related fields.
  • Proficiency in managing inventory systems and databases.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
