Job Description

Overview

  • Provide comprehensive support to the laboratory, ensuring safe operations and efficient testing processes.
  • Learn and operate various laboratory instruments, including HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV/Vis Spectrophotometer, and others.
  • Stay updated on regulatory publications to maintain compliance with analytical applications and documentation practices.
  • Assist in resolving laboratory Out-Of-Specification (OOS) results as per investigation procedures.
  • Execute assigned projects within deadlines while managing testing responsibilities effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Maintain competency in ISO 17025 test methods and laboratory analytical techniques.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Operate laboratory instruments, including balances, chromatographs, titrators, and spectrophotometers.
  • Train on new laboratory test methods and instrumentation as needed.
  • Ensure laboratory compliance with USP, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Investigate and resolve laboratory OOS results following established procedures.
  • Manage time effectively to balance testing and project responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Execute daily testing volume in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry required.
  • 3-5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a cGMP environment.
  • Proficiency with laboratory analytical techniques, including titrations and sample preparation.
  • Experience with Empower software preferred.
  • Familiarity with Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC) operations and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage a high energy, fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and self-motivation skills to interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Competency in ISO 17025 test methods and regulatory compliance.
