Job Description

Overview

  • Support payroll operations for a unionized workforce, ensuring compliance and accuracy in processing payments and benefits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage unemployment claims, leave programs, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now and Workforce Manager for payroll processing and employee data management.
  • Contribute to audits and reporting, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Provide support for union benefits, dues, and 401(k) contributions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll, benefits, and tax-related matters professionally.
  • Participate in special projects to enhance payroll operations and streamline processes.
  • Work onsite during standard business hours, with occasional overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process weekly payroll for over 200 union employees using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax laws.
  • Manage union benefits, dues payments, and 401(k) contributions accurately and timely.
  • Oversee unemployment, worker's compensation, disability, and paid family leave claims.
  • Prepare for audits by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax-related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and compliance.
  • Participate in special projects to improve payroll processes and system efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree required; Associate degree considered with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and familiarity with ADP Workforce Manager.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager preferred; training available for new hires.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple workflows and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to participate in special projects and adapt quickly to new challenges.
