Overview

  • Lead financial strategy and operations for a mission-driven healthcare organization.
  • Provide executive leadership to ensure financial sustainability and compliance.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and nonprofit financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and the board of directors on financial matters.
  • Mentor and develop finance teams to foster high performance and succession planning.
  • Drive innovation in financial operations to support organizational growth.
  • Engage with external financial entities and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to strategic planning.
  • Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to the board of directors.
  • Oversee financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead revenue cycle management to maximize reimbursement and efficiency.
  • Develop financial models and tools to support decision-making and growth.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and financial institutions.
  • Provide leadership to finance teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Monitor payer reimbursement structures and respond to contract changes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • MBA, MPA, or Master’s degree in Finance or related field preferred.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive senior financial leadership experience.
  • Expertise in nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, and grant compliance.
  • Proven experience with revenue cycle management and payer reimbursement systems.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare finance and regulatory requirements.
