Job Description

Overview

  • Coordinate field operations for specific areas and trades on construction projects.
  • Ensure construction work aligns with planned sequences and schedules.
  • Implement and enforce safety and quality control procedures effectively.
  • Supervise field workforce to ensure cost-effective work execution.
  • Develop plans for optimum utilization of equipment capabilities.
  • Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate opportunities.
  • Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent for the team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate installation of work per contract documents and schedules.
  • Monitor project milestone dates and ensure requirements are met.
  • Develop an understanding of activity durations and equipment utilization plans.
  • Ensure material and equipment delivery aligns with project schedules.
  • Conduct safety inspections and enforce compliance with standards.
  • Identify causes of budget discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and anticipate their needs.
  • Utilize construction management software platforms for project oversight.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 4-6 years of construction management experience in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in construction management software like Procore, PlanGrid, and P6.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and successful implementation on job sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct subcontractors and suppliers effectively.
  • Alignment with standards of excellence including adaptability and ethical conduct.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $15M or more.
  • Field experience in construction operations is essential.
