Overview

  • Provide proficient patient care in a cardiac catheterization lab setting, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work four 10-hour shifts weekly with a rotating day off.
  • Participate in a call rotation, including weekends, with performance-based bonuses.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare the environment and assess patients prior to procedures, ensuring safety checklists are completed.
  • Provide direct patient care in a technically complex cardiac catheterization lab environment.
  • Respond to life-threatening situations using established nursing standards and protocols.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures, tailoring information to individual needs.
  • Participate in call rotations, adhering to callback time requirements and contributing to team coverage.
  • Maintain critical thinking and decisive judgment in high-pressure situations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.
