Overview
- Provide essential medical support under the guidance of the Nurse Manager in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Assist medical providers and contribute to clinical operations, including equipment and supply maintenance.
- Work collaboratively to ensure smooth patient flow and effective clinic operations.
- Engage in patient care activities, including obtaining vital signs and documenting clinical data.
- Support clinical procedures and maintain universal precautions in all activities.
- Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks as needed to support patient care.
- Ensure exam rooms are prepared and stocked for patient encounters.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through effective communication and clinical support.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Organize and prepare patient summary sheets and charts for daily clinic operations.
- Check and restock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient encounters.
- Call patients from the lobby and escort them to exam rooms.
- Obtain patient chief complaints and vital signs, documenting them in the EMR system.
- Assist medical providers in patient care and clinical procedures as directed.
- Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks as required.
- Maintain universal precautions and adhere to safety protocols in all clinical activities.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year healthcare experience preferred; bilingual candidates are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Eclinical Works.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to perform phlebotomy effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining universal precautions and adhering to safety standards.
- Stable work history and ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
