Job Description

Overview

  • Provide essential support in a healthcare setting, assisting with patient care and administrative tasks.
  • Perform medical procedures such as drawing blood, administering injections, and obtaining vitals.
  • Ensure accurate patient data entry into the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Work on-site in a dynamic healthcare facility with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Room patients and obtain their medical vitals and history.
  • Administer injections and draw blood as required.
  • Update and maintain patient records in the EMR system.
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and patient areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interpersonal communication with patients.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate of Arts (AA) preferred.
  • Medical Assistant diploma with at least 1 year of experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly eClinicalWorks.
  • Experience in rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and drawing blood.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, bubbly personality.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts between 7am and 5:30pm.
  • Knowledge of OBGYN practices is highly valued.
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
