Medical Assistant

Overview

• Provide essential support in a healthcare setting, assisting with patient care and administrative tasks.
• Perform clinical duties including rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and administering injections.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure efficient patient flow and accurate record keeping.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for data entry and patient history updates.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Work flexible hours Monday through Friday to meet clinic needs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Room patients and obtain vital signs to prepare them for consultations.
• Administer injections and draw blood as required by medical staff.
• Update and maintain patient medical histories in the EMR system.
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries professionally.

Job Requirements

• Associate of Arts degree or equivalent educational background.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant; 2 years preferred.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, especially eClinicalWorks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM.
• Knowledge of clinical procedures such as drawing blood and administering injections.
