Overview

  • Serve as a compassionate advocate for hospice services, building trust-based relationships within the community.
  • Promote specialized hospice care services to referral sources and healthcare partners.
  • Drive census growth by increasing awareness and preference for hospice services.
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and community agencies to support patient care.
  • Engage with families to explain hospice services and facilitate consent empathetically.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Establish and nurture relationships with physicians and healthcare partners to strengthen collaboration.
  • Conduct regular outreach to promote hospice services and philosophy.
  • Position hospice services as the provider of choice in the service area.
  • Support referral growth through intentional visits with healthcare professionals.
  • Lead initial conversations about hospice care with patients and families.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure thorough understanding of hospice services.
  • Maintain reliable transportation for outreach activities within designated territories.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; additional experience may substitute.
  • Minimum two years of healthcare sales/marketing experience required.
  • Hospice/palliative marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Prior clinical experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
