Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate on electrical system design and execution for diverse projects in commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors.
  • Lead design efforts, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, combining on-site and remote collaboration.
  • Contribute to team development by mentoring junior engineers and fostering collaboration.
  • Utilize advanced design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM/ETAP for project execution.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and architectural professionals.
  • Support construction administration through site visits and review of technical documentation.
  • Opportunity to serve as Engineer of Record and lead client-facing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design and implement electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and energy-efficient solutions.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for projects.
  • Perform load calculations and ensure compliance with NEC and other building codes.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development and team growth.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction phases.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address technical challenges.
  • Lead client-facing initiatives and ensure project leadership and accountability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design; consulting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM/ETAP.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and relevant building codes.
  • Experience with commercial, healthcare, higher education, or industrial projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for client-facing roles.
