Overview

  • Lead architectural projects, ensuring technical quality and successful delivery within time and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines to integrate systems and promote sustainable design practices.
  • Conduct performance reviews, mentor team members, and shape office vision and mission.
  • Prepare and present design drawings, specifications, and statements of probable cost.
  • Manage permitting processes, bidding procedures, and construction administration services.
  • Resolve design issues, answer technical questions, and ensure compliance with applicable codes.
  • Coordinate quality control checks and peer reviews to maintain high standards.
  • Promote marketing involvement and assist in proposal preparation for new projects.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Initiate and direct coordination with engineering disciplines, guiding system selection and integration.
  • Perform in-depth quality control checks and resolve technical issues during project execution.
  • Oversee production of construction documents for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Manage permitting processes, respond to comments, and coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Analyze client problems, develop design solutions, and present to stakeholders effectively.
  • Lead kickoff meetings, coordinate peer reviews, and ensure quality control of project documents.
  • Assist in setting project scope and budget, aligning with client expectations and objectives.
  • Mentor and teach team members, fostering professional growth and development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture Technology or related field required.
  • Active architectural license with 5-10 years of professional experience in building construction methods.
  • Proficiency in research, planning, design, construction documents, and administration/inspections.
  • Advanced knowledge of model codes and sustainable design principles.
  • Strong skills in cost estimating, performance reviews, and mentoring team members.
  • Experience managing permitting processes, bidding procedures, and construction administration services.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, multitask, and work under time constraints effectively.
