Nurse Director Emergency Services

Overview

• Lead the Emergency Services department, overseeing operations and ensuring high-quality patient care delivery.
• Manage a team of 15 Full-Time Employees (FTEs), fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Prepare for departmental expansion, increasing capacity from 5 to 11 beds by June 2026.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards to maintain operational excellence.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize emergency care services and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
• Maintain a stable and committed team, minimizing turnover and promoting professional growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise daily operations of the Emergency Services department, ensuring efficient workflow and patient care.
• Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance departmental performance.
• Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Coordinate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
• Ensure staff compliance with training requirements and professional development initiatives.
• Prepare for and oversee the department's expansion to accommodate increased capacity.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency services; 5 years preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, ideally at the director level.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, emergency care protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage departmental operations effectively.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation within a healthcare environment.
