Overview

  • Lead the talent acquisition function to support workforce needs in a competitive labor market.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute recruiting strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting for diverse roles, ensuring efficient and compliant processes.
  • Enhance employer branding through marketing partnerships and industry representation.
  • Build pipelines for skilled labor through innovative programs and community outreach.
  • Develop strategies to improve retention and reduce turnover in field roles.
  • Lead and mentor a recruiting team, fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and improve recruiting workflows.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and execute a recruiting strategy aligned with workforce needs and geographic expansion.
  • Forecast workforce requirements in collaboration with executive leadership and operations.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment processes for field labor, project management, and corporate roles.
  • Strengthen employer branding and market presence within the construction industry.
  • Build pipelines for skilled labor through trade schools, military initiatives, and referral programs.
  • Lead a recruiting team, setting goals and driving accountability.
  • Manage relationships with staffing agencies and labor partners.
  • Standardize recruiting workflows and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8–12+ years of recruiting experience, with expertise in construction or skilled trades hiring.
  • Proven leadership experience managing recruiting teams or large-scale hiring initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of construction labor markets and workforce challenges.
  • Experience with ATS platforms and recruiting analytics.
  • Preferred certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
