Overview
- Support strategic business development initiatives for flagship practices in a dynamic professional services environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive marketing and client targeting activities.
- Develop and maintain marketing materials showcasing practice group capabilities and achievements.
- Identify visibility opportunities such as conference sponsorships, speaking engagements, and thought leadership campaigns.
- Assist attorneys with strategic business development plans and execution.
- Conduct market research and compile competitive intelligence to inform strategic approaches.
- Manage directories submission processes and award submissions for relevant practice areas.
- Maintain reporting systems tracking proposals and pitches for evaluation and improvement.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead business development activities for assigned practices, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution.
- Develop core messaging and brand positioning for practice areas, including value propositions.
- Prepare new business proposals, pitch materials, and responses to RFIs/RFPs.
- Collaborate with attorneys to strategize and execute client targeting initiatives.
- Conduct market and industry research to support business development strategies.
- Manage the directories submission process and award applications for practice groups.
- Maintain databases and reporting systems for tracking proposals and pitches.
- Coordinate follow-up activities post-pitch to ensure client satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or liberal arts required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development within professional services; 6 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and marketing-related databases.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate strategic approaches effectively.
- Experience conducting market research and compiling competitive intelligence.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of the private capital industry and professional services marketing.
