Overview

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring safety and satisfaction in a contract-based role.
• Perform Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Clinical Care Manager.
• Work in a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing on geriatric patient care.

• Commit to every other weekend shifts to maintain consistent patient care.
• Utilize your expertise to administer medications and perform IV therapy as required.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
• Monitor patient health, recording vital signs and reporting changes to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with daily living activities and provide emotional support to patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform IV therapy and other specialized nursing procedures as required.
• Act as a charge nurse when assigned, overseeing patient care and team coordination.
• Participate in training sessions and stay updated on best practices in geriatric care.

Job Requirements

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of New York.
• Associate of Science (AS) degree in Practical Nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in geriatric patient care.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and IV therapy certification required.
• Strong commitment to patient care and ability to work on-site.
• Willingness to work every other weekend to ensure consistent care delivery.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards for geriatric care.
