Job Description
Overview
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents, focusing on improving their ability to perform daily living activities.
- Assist residents with physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities to enhance their independence and quality of life.
- Conduct evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans to address individual needs and goals.
- Offer training and education to caregiver staff for effective maintenance programs.
- Utilize the Rehab Optima system for documentation and tracking of therapy progress.
- Work on-site with a flexible schedule, ensuring optimal care delivery based on caseload demands.
- Supervise therapy assistants, technicians, aides, and interns as required.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Evaluate residents to identify therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy sessions to improve motor skills, reasoning abilities, and functional independence.
- Train residents in compensatory techniques, adaptive equipment usage, and environmental adjustments.
- Collaborate with caregivers to ensure effective carryover of therapy programs.
- Document therapy progress and outcomes using the Rehab Optima system.
- Provide consultation and education to staff on occupational therapy practices.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
- Adapt therapy plans based on resident progress and feedback.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; relevant certifications preferred.
- Entry-level position; open to new graduates with enthusiasm for occupational therapy.
