Job Description

Overview

  • Provide occupational therapy services to residents, focusing on improving their ability to perform daily living activities.
  • Assist residents with physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities to enhance their independence and quality of life.
  • Conduct evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans to address individual needs and goals.
  • Offer training and education to caregiver staff for effective maintenance programs.
  • Utilize the Rehab Optima system for documentation and tracking of therapy progress.
  • Work on-site with a flexible schedule, ensuring optimal care delivery based on caseload demands.
  • Supervise therapy assistants, technicians, aides, and interns as required.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Evaluate residents to identify therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve motor skills, reasoning abilities, and functional independence.
  • Train residents in compensatory techniques, adaptive equipment usage, and environmental adjustments.
  • Collaborate with caregivers to ensure effective carryover of therapy programs.
  • Document therapy progress and outcomes using the Rehab Optima system.
  • Provide consultation and education to staff on occupational therapy practices.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
  • Adapt therapy plans based on resident progress and feedback.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; relevant certifications preferred.
  • Entry-level position; open to new graduates with enthusiasm for occupational therapy.
  • Experience with Rehab Optima system is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Ability to work on-site and adapt to varying caseload demands.
