Overview

- Oversee trauma program operations, including quality improvement initiatives and compliance with verification standards.
- Coordinate efforts between local and regional trauma systems to optimize patient care.

- Manage trauma registry processes to support performance improvement and research activities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop processes for monitoring and improving financial performance and resource utilization within the trauma program.
- Coordinate optimal care for trauma patients across the continuum of care.
- Monitor clinical processes and outcomes to ensure quality care delivery.
- Design and manage the trauma registry to facilitate research and performance improvement activities.
- Conduct audits and case reviews to identify trends and events for quality improvement.
- Lead efforts for verification and re-verification processes for the Trauma Center.
- Collaborate with surgeons, emergency department staff, and trauma nurses to ensure seamless operations.
- Handle patient complaints and provide resolutions to enhance patient satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care trauma leadership experience; 5 years preferred.
- Expertise in clinical research and innovation in trauma care.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to manage trauma program operations and staff effectively.
- Experience in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives.
