Job Description

Overview

  • Lead a dynamic team in a medical-surgical telemetry unit, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain 24-hour accountability for clinical leadership, staff management, and unit performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to uphold clinical standards and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Promote professional development and continuing education opportunities for nursing staff.
  • Contribute to fiscal management, including budget planning and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.

  • Coordinate staffing schedules to maintain optimal coverage and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field required.
  • Active California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical-surgical telemetry practices and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork.
