Overview

• Lead a dynamic team in a medical-surgical telemetry unit, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
• Maintain 24-hour accountability for clinical leadership, staff management, and unit performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate unit performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Coordinate staffing schedules to maintain optimal coverage and efficiency.
• Facilitate communication between staff, patients, and families to address concerns and enhance satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to promote best practices and innovation.
• Manage unit budget, including cost control and resource allocation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field required.
• Active California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience; 5 years preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical-surgical telemetry practices and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork.
