Overview

  • Lead strategic operations for patient financial services within a healthcare organization, ensuring optimal revenue cycle management and compliance.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance service delivery, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize centralized billing and accounts receivable processes.
  • Provide leadership and accountability for healthcare revenue cycle performance across departments.
  • Foster staff development through training, policy guidance, and continuous feedback.
  • Monitor and analyze financial metrics, designing effective performance tools for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensure, certifications, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and execution of healthcare financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and oversee department goals, budgets, and performance standards aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate and enhance service delivery methods to optimize costs and improve outcomes.
  • Lead fiscal and technical activities to ensure efficient department operations.
  • Implement policies and procedures to achieve departmental objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Direct centralized billing, collection, and cash management across organizational entities.
  • Monitor accounts receivable metrics and design effective performance tools.
  • Foster staff development through educational training and continuous performance feedback.
  • Ensure all licensure, certifications, and quality standards are current and compliant.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle management experience required.
  • EPIC PB & HB certifications required; advanced Excel knowledge and analytical skills essential.
  • Proven track record of managing patient financial services as the sole leader.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Extensive experience in EPIC revenue cycle operations and centralized billing required.
  • Ability to develop and oversee departmental goals, budgets, and performance standards.
